Job Description

The chef is head of all the kitchen staff and responsible for all kitchen activities. The chef prepares and presents dishes according to the menu and recipes. The chef must be able to lead a team of kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are cooked on time, at the highest quality, and with utmost care for hygiene regulations. They must also ensure that food costs are kept low, and portion sizes are adjusted accordingly.

The chef should have experience serving customers and understanding their needs and expectations. The chef should also understand nutrition and diet plans so that they can provide nutritious meals to customers.

The chef must be able to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with difficult

customers or situations

Job Type

It is a permanent, full-time position, offering long-term stability and the chance to work on a regular, ongoing basis.

Salary

An appointed chef will receive $15.00 to $15.25 hourly, 15 to 40 hours weekly.

Experience

Well-trained Chef with at least one year of experience in a professional kitchen. Previous experience in a high-end restaurant and catering business is desirable. Work Environment

It is a fast-paced environment with long hours, and you will be expected to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The chef must be able to work in a hot and humid kitchen and handle the pressure of working in a busy restaurant.
