Cook Job Requirements:
- Language: Fluent in English
- Education: Secondary (high) school certificate or equivalent experience
- Specialty: Mexican Cuisine
- Certificate: Safety Food Certificate
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a professional cook or culinary environment.
Responsibilities
Tasks involved in managing a kitchen may include but are not limited to:
- Planning and preparing meals, both complete and individual dishes, as well as different types of foods
- Accommodating customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Creating menus and determining portion sizes, estimating food requirements and costs, and managing the inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Monitoring and ordering supplies, as well as inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure they meet required standards
- Training staff in preparation, cooking, and food handling, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and work area
- Managing kitchen operations, which may include ordering supplies and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing staff schedules and responsibilities.
